NanoDay at Bradbury!

Nanotechnologies are inventions so small that you cannot see them, but you benefit from them everyday. Join us to learn about why being nano-small can make things stronger, harder, or more powerful. There will be demonstrations and hands-on activities. Meet scientists who work in nano-technology.

Transportation:

Española teens can meet the bus at 6:15 PM at the New Family YMCA center Near the senior center and fire station in Española 747-6539.

The Café Scientifique youth leaders will host a program focused on discussing and debating two issues related to nanotechnology. Our first issue will be - Should towns let new nanotechnology engineering firms operate in their midst, if the environmental and health effects of the new technology are not fully known?

Our second issue will be - Is it safe and wise to use new nanotechnology food packaging that reduces spoilage?

To begin each discussion and debate, we will view short video clips of experts in nanotechnology, legal, environmental and political discussing these issues.
